At first I thought that MPU was something like a sejarah subject in SPM, and I hated MPU before I even had my first MPU class. But then after the first lesson, I realised that MPU is nothing like sejarah, it is a session where the students not only get to know themselves better, but also learned to work with others (whom you don't know) and know your friends even better.
Assignments like personal reflection, personality test, career test and S.W.O.T had been very useful because they actually helped me to know myself better, e.g. my personality test had proven to me that I'm a ESFJ type of person (which I myself didn't know). Furthermore, S.W.O.T assignment is a very interesting assignment where I'll have to think and reflect on my weaknesses and strengths, which would help me to think about ways to overcome these weaknesses.
This MPU session had also helped in discovering my strength as well as the career path suitable for me. This really helps because I get to know my opportunity in the courses or career path I'm going to take.
I had also benefited from this program because I get to know more friends other than my classmates, as we get to team up with friends from other Groups and therefore this had enlarged my circle of friends. Another great value I had learned throughout MPU is the importance of teamwork as well as independence. Sometimes I'll have to complete my individual work on my own, without my friends' help. And in some cases, when we have group work, every member has to work together and contribute in order to complete a particular group assignment, if someone does not contribute, the assignment can not be done excellently. Hence, I get to work with friends with good teamwork spirit and I suppose this is a great value that I should embrace for my whole life.
Lastly, through this MPU session I get to know how to use Prezi, Show Me and PowToon. These had helped me to prepare very interesting slides for presentation of my data, which can be pretty useful when I use it to do presentation for other subjects in class.
